Who am I?
Well, let me start by saying that if I ever know an easy answer for that question I will create a proper blog post and you can be the first (along with whoever else subscribes) to know. In the meantime, I will tell you a few things about me that may give you a clue.
I am a Texas-based photographer/graphic artist living in the Dallas area. I am into art, fashion, philosophy, poetry, music, books, and a host of other controversial subjects that aren’t coming to mind at the moment. I am addicted to visual imagery–beauty in general, I suppose, but specifically shapes and forms. It could be typography, architecture, figure studies, technology…I love them all, but I tend to focus on art and the female figure. I grew up drawing freehand on napkins which evolved into wanting to take pictures, then learning Photoshop, then doing graphic design…I guess I am a little obsessive. It has paid off, though, and I have enjoyed working on some cool projects over the years. Every now and then I still draw on napkins, too.
I am a Photoshop addict. Anything is possible, and I probably know how to do it. I have been working with PS since *censored-information is classified* and I would consider myself an accomplished photo manipulator. I also spend a good deal of time in InDesign and Illustrator, but Photoshop is my first love. When I have time I try and make tutorials and distribute useful information to other designers. I don’t have much time.
Among all the other things, I am also a teacher and a trained public speaker, so I tend to talk to myself a lot–that’s consider good practice and not at all indicative of your mental state when you are a public speaker–so one day I figured I could share some of the useful info and pointless ramblings that myself and I discuss. This blog is me giving back to the world. If you find it useful, tag along! Subscribe, comment, and enjoy. If this bothers you, please feel free to completely ignore me. I am not the center of the universe and you need not even acknowledge me unless you so desire. Welcome to my world!
There is art on my blog. Most of it is PG rated, but I am interested in a lot of art that is not. It is my duty to warn you that if you are easily offended…well, just calm down and navigate away when your little alarms start sounding. Thank you! Have a nice day!
